Our first autumn/winter

They say that as one gets older, time seems to fly by faster and faster. I turned 50 this year and whilst I feel no different in myself than when I was in my mid 30s, I would definitely agree with the sentiment. Shelley and I can scarcely believe that we enter October in a couple of days’ time, let alone the fact that we are rapidly approaching a full year of Pretty As A Picture Board existing and trading.

It has been so stimulating to learn so many new skills over this past year, from website design, to working with AI, to building an email subscriber list, to harnessing the power of social media marketing and learning about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

More rewarding than the challenges I have faced over the past year has been seeing Shelley’s confidence grow and more and more people complimenting her on her craftswomanship and giving her so many lovely words of encouragement. I have personally loved becoming a part of this close knit community of makers and making new aquaintances and seeing the same faces at the various events we attend across the country.

We are about to launch a whole heap of new products across our various sales platforms, but we are taking these out with us on the road for all of our market appearances next month.

I think the cosy bedside lamps which Shelley makes now has a serious rival for my favourite thing that she makes! Our pretty fabric baubles make for a unique and stylish way to decorate your tree this Christmas or hanging them around your home at other seasonal holidays. These baubles will be available in two sizes, 6cm and 8cm and we will be offering multi buy discounts and selling bundles including complementary items such as our extremely popular garland bunting.

Coming very soon is the Trilly Collection, inspired by Shelley’s plush mouse - that she named Trilly. This range of pinboards, with hooks to hang trinkets from, alongside lamps, box frames and garland bunting has been meticulously planned to bring our special touch to your child’s bedroom or nursery. This is a very playful addition to our range and one that we are really proud of and excited to share online soon.
